7 Personal Year | December is a 1 Personal Month

End-of-Year Reflection 🎁

December feels like a brisk splash of cold water on your face—or perhaps more like a Wim Hoff cold plunge/breathing/meditation experience! The point being: This is time to wake up and shake yourself out of your isolation chamber. There is more expansive for forward-moving energy supporting you throughout the month.

Take time to acknowledge how everything you’ve experienced in your 7 Personal Year has revealed a new level of connection with yourself in important – yet sometimes indefinable – ways. Are you ready to crawl out of hibernation?

Wipe the metaphoric sleep out of your eyes and get ready to shift into drive and start pressing on the accelerator.

This month allows you to get used to the powerful energies coming your way in January. I always say to those who are experiencing their 7 Personal Year that they’ll wish they’d bottled some of that down-time, because the next three years are incredibly demanding.

In December,  you’ll need to tap into your sense of innovation—and of independence and individuality.

December is an initiating month guided by the number 1. The energy here is all about new beginnings and initiating changes.

On the flip side, your self-confidence could be under fire. So get a grip on those tried-and-true skills you know and love, so when you’re feeling a wave of self-doubt you can key in to those things you do well and keep the feeling of fear and lack of self-confidence under control.

The month of December is here to give you a preview of coming attractions. So put your “Super-Power Cape” in the washing machine and get ready to strap it on with a double-knot!

This month allows you to get your feet wet and acclimate to the powerful energies coming your way in January.

This month—where you lead, they will follow. Lead wisely and well. You get the farthest this month when you trust your instincts and bring other people in to support you on whatever realm you need bolstering.

Caroline Myss offers some sage wisdom in her Tedx Talk called “Choices that can change your life.”   While this information is fitting for all of us at anytime, I feel it holds an even more profound resonance for you as you are digesting your powerful 7 Personal Year.

I’m loosely paraphrasing here.  She says:  “If we look at life, there is something that all the great spiritual traditions have in common . . . one of the great learnings is that life will never we what we call fair. It will never be that. . . . What if there is no absolute reason why things (good or bad) happen to you. The message to take away is that it’s not about forgetting. It’s about looking at what’s happened to us and saying ‘this will never defeat me.’ But you must turn this into your source of wisdom, not your source of woe.”

I can only imagine that this notion of turning difficult experiences into your greatest source of wisdom might resonate rather deeply right now.

And as you move into this final month of the year, this is the month to begin something you would love to cultivate in the coming year.

Are you considering a new romantic relationship? Adopting a puppy? Do you need to jump-start a new exercise program?

This is a great time to start something you’d like to see take root and thrive as you move into the new year. Where you might have felt in somewhat of a holding pattern, soon it is time to act rather than retract. It will soon be time to make things happen rather than wait and contemplate and dissect.

Another piece of advice Caroline Myss offers is that we benefit most when we choose to take risks. Don’t wait for proof because there will never be enough of that nor will that kind of proof lead to anything new for us.

As you head into the empowering 8 Personal Year, it would be good to keep this notion at the forefront.

As you leave your 7 Personal Year and enter into your 8 Personal Year, take some time to consider what was the locus of contemplative year. What did you focus on? What were your over-arching intentions?

Did you find yourself pushing yourself to investigate some old painful experiences or issues? Did you experience some strange moments of spiritual revelation that you can’t even explain or put into words?

Perhaps you ended up having things happen to you that were dramatic, painful, or difficult and by having those experiences you’ve been required to create a different perspective about life and your place in it.

Remember that December can feel somewhat heavy or alternately it can feel shockingly freeing, depending on where you are and what you’re dealing with at the moment.

This month you get the dynamic energy of the 1 on top of the final throes of your 7 Personal Year. The beauty of it is that you can feel a renewed sense of your place and purpose in a way you haven’t felt before. This is the month to stand up and be counted. Hopefully you’ll feel a renewed sense of energy and forward movement in December.

This upcoming year is the time to step into your newfound sense of yourself.  This year has been all about revealing this new level of your authentic self and now is the time to bridge that “new you” into the outer world.

Now you get to begin to use the new ideas and new elements of yourself and make it all happen in the material world where you can now touch and measure the outcomes.

What did you develop and explore this year? Did you feel frustrated or did you open up and trust the unknown? Perhaps the year brought some unexpected issues to be grappled with in the way of a spouse or intimate partner leaving you, a health concern that demanded your undivided attention, or some other “thing” that felt as though it happened to you without your permission?

Perhaps you’re simply feeling an inexplicable sense of spiritual expansion that isn’t solid or definable yet you definitely know that it’s a major tipping point for you in the way you see yourself in the world.

Starting in January is the beginning of a new, vital, and transformative time in your life. The upcoming year brings you all the tests in personal power you can imagine. Get ready to step into the fray and make things happen.

I’m dropping some vital astrological information into this forecast. Although I’m not an astrologer (I leave that to my astrology experts, primarily among them Tali & Ophira Edut “The AstroTwins”), as a numerologist, I find that the information both numerology and astrology offer is always intimately connected.

Astrologically, we’re making a massive shift. As of November 19, 2024, the planet Pluto moved from Capricorn (where it declared residency for the past 16 years — since 2008) and into the sign of Aquarius.  The AstroTwins offer this outline:

Pluto’s upcoming journey through Aquarius, a sign of revolution, innovation, and the collective. From November 19 to Jan. 19, 2044, Pluto will ignite a new era of transformation, one that could radically redefine power structures and usher in a future where equality and freedom take center stage.

Pluto’s return to Aquarius could usher in another wave of societal transformation, and astrologers already feel it brewing.

While that might seem like a far-off ideal, Pluto has been known to deliver extreme shifts when it enters a new sign. While Capricorn clings to tradition, Aquarius is all about breaking free from convention and embracing the future.

The last time Pluto moved through Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798, and the world went through seismic shifts, from the American Revolution to the French Revolution. This era also dovetailed with the early days of the Industrial Revolution, which completely changed how societies functioned as we replaced farmed and handcrafted goods with machine-made and processed ones.

Pluto’s return to Aquarius could usher in another wave of societal transformation, and astrologers already feel it brewing. There could be a push toward systems that are more egalitarian, tech-driven, and inclusive as we move away from top-down structures to a more collective, grassroots energy.

With that said, this coincides with a powerful and transitional 9 Universal Year. If you’d like to know more about the 9 Universal Year and how to maximize its potential, see my 2025 Numerology Guide.

Those of you who’ve followed me for a while know that I’m someone who offers different schools of thought as they show up in numerology—pointing out different modes of calculating the numbers and disparate ways different numerologist’s do things.

I have always pointed out that there are two schools of thought about the Personal Year. I’m hesitant to do constant reminders about it because, let’s be honest, it can be confusing! And let’s be honest again: Many people just want the 25-second byte of info without thinking much about it.

Be that as it may, I am going to remind you that there are two schools of thought about the Personal Year. Most numerologist’s use the January 1 – December 31st mode of thinking. Others proffer that the Personal Year is more like a solar return (for those of you who’re astrology-minded), instead running from birthday-to-birthday.

If you’re born at the first of the year, this doesn’t effect you as much. Yet once you hit mid-year and beyond, this can really make a difference. And how do you know what’s right and what’s not right?  BY HOW YOU FEEL! It’s up to each of us to feel it out and see what feels right to us individually.

**The key to avoid as much confusion if you want to explore the birthday-to-birthday scenario:  You would calculate your Personal Year based on the year of YOUR LAST BIRTHDAY. So if you’re reading this right now and your birthday is November 11, you would calculate your Personal Year by adding the Month + Day + LAST YEAR (2023).

In this example, it is 11 + 11 + 7 (2 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 7) = 29; and 2+9 = 11.  Up until 11/11, you’re in an 11/2 Personal Year and then you CHANGE INTO THE 3 PERSONAL YEAR on your birthday. Then you begin to read the forecast for the 3 Personal Year. Make Sense?  I don’t want to rock your numerology world, yet it’s only fair to consider both options and see what works for you.
