4 Personal Year | April is an 8 Personal Month
🤔 Reflection for April: This is the month to get real and tackle the logistics.
Money money-money-money. Money.
This is a financially focused month, no two ways around it. It’s all business right now. Yet it’s also not a time where money and opportunities will just drop out of the sky and into your wallet. You’ve got to work for it and manage it with expert oversight.
Given it’s your 4 Personal Year, don’t expect it all to come rolling in like a jackpot from a slot machine in Las Vegas! (as if how often does that actually happen, anyway?)
The 4 offers some obstacles along the way, with the point being to get you to really set things up for the longer haul and have a longer view in front of you. It’s also set up to make sure you really want it and are willing to do what it takes to get it—even if (or especially if) it stretches you out of your comfort zone.
This is truly the time to start with the end in mind.
Let’s also place your month into a larger context.
Don’t forget that we’re all globally experiencing a 9 Universal Year — a collective time of unraveling, letting go of the old to make room for the new. It’s tumultuous, emotional, and — most often — confusing and somewhat draining emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Add to that some rather seismic Astrology:Â Last month (March) alone, this is the break-down:
Venus and Mercury retrogrades, a total lunar eclipse, and the spring equinox, potentially bringing shifts in relationships, communication, and new beginnings.
- March 1: Venus began its retrograde in Aries, which could impact relationships, values, and creative expression.
- March 13-14: A total lunar eclipse, potentially bringing out-of-the-blue shifts in wellness, daily routines, and mental energy.
- March 14 – April 7: Mercury retrograde in Aries, which could lead to miscommunications and re-evaluations, then moving back into Pisces on March 29th, remaining there until after it goes direct on April 7th. Â
- March 20: Spring equinox, marking the start of a new astrological cycle as the sun enters Aries.
- March 29: A new moon and a partial solar eclipse.
What’s the point of this review of what you’ve just been through last month? There’s A LOT going on energetically, whether we like it or not or even believe in it or not. I’ve always joked (but not joked) that once you know both your Astrology and your Numerology, you’re out of excuses!
Just know that this is a year for the record-books globally and perhaps it’s the same for you in your own personal life as well.
It can be a major up and down month, both emotionally and financially. Because when you get that surprise expense—like a car repair, broken water heater, doctor bill, you name it—you don’t want to dive into a pit of despair about your finances. There’s an infinite—not a finite—supply with your name on it.
Yet let’s be real. Depending on where you are with finances right now, this can have a different intensity and frequency.
Have you lost your job and attempting to scramble to find employment? Have you had to eat through your savings in order to make it through this turbulent time?
Or perhaps your business or job is flourishing and your focus is on either sustaining the gain or galvanizing ways to build from there. The point being, you may be at a tweaking point or you may be in the depths of major and monumental changes with your entire being.
Whether you’re job hunting, working on an on-going project or seeking investors, the vibe of the 8 offers supportive energy for some collisions and manifestations.
Whatever you’re working on should advance around April 9th, although a good deal of organization and management will be required in order to move things along successfully.
Remember that it’s your 4 Personal Year and you may be massaging a few family-related issues that pop to the surface throughout the year. April will test your sense of empowerment in this realm as well.
Overall, this can be a time where some business-related things click into place, yet also know that this can be a time where you’re connecting the dots and getting everything in line. The contacts made and efforts toward this goal will pay off in the next few months. Stick with it.
Master 22/4 Personal Year
If you’re experiencing the 22/4 Personal Year, I’ll continue to remind you that this is a more intense time for you in terms of emotional sensitivity and also in spiritual development.
During an 8 Personal Month, the stakes are higher and again, focused on your spiritual path to material success. The power and empowerment energies this month won’t be soft and kind. And you’ll be even more sensitive to the rawness or the bluntness of what’s happening right now.
This is a time to soar—yet most often people find that the mixture of the 22/4 Personal Year infused into the energy of the 8 (which is what April brings to you) is quite a molotov cocktail! If it’s feeling great and empowering to you, then keep at it! Hats off and stay the course.
If it feels extra-challenging, slow and steady continues to win the race. Just don’t allow yourself to diminish your vision. Watch some inspiring videos. Read some books about braving the storm and coming out the other side.

Note: There are two schools of thought regarding the Personal Year.
The first is that it runs from January 1 – Dec. 31 of each calendar year.
The Personal Year is derived from adding together your MONTH of birth + the DAY of birth + the CURRENT YEAR.
Therefore, the logical flow is that it takes place for the calendar year for which it is being calculated.
**Remember: If you subscribe to this mode of thought, your Personal Month RESETS and CHANGES on January 1.
The second mode of thought is that the Personal Year runs from birthday to birthday, somewhat like a Solar Return in Astrology.
If you know my work at all, you’ll know that I’m someone who simply attempts to point out the different schools of thought and then the ball is in your court. It’s up to each of us to determine method makes the most sense to us and feels right or correct.
It’s like anything else in life. People can get really adamant about the correct diet (keto? paleo? vegan? gluten-free? vegetarian? and on and on).
You can go to different doctors with the same condition and get different courses of treatment. You can study Pythagorean numerology, or subscribe more to Chaldean numerology, or other modalities.
I don’t mean to belabor it, but it might surprise you how many people contact me and leave comments insisting that their particular methodology is the only right way to do it.
If you subscribe to the birthday-to-birthday way of thinking, you calculate this way:Â Using your birth date, add the MONTH + DAY + YEAR OF YOUR LAST BIRTHDAY
Just know that you’ll change into a new Personal Year on your BIRTHDAY, meaning that you’ll also change which Personal Year you read for your Forecast! This mode of thinking is more confusing until you wrap your brain around it. 💥
So I just want to be clear. It’s up to YOU to determine what school of thought feels right to you. And it’s ends up being just that: HOW IT FEELS. Sit with it. Ponder it. Feel into it.
If you feel the Personal Year runs from birthday-to-birthday, you will still reference the forecast for your Personal Year, yet the flow of it is a bit more wonky. Meaning: On your birthday, it switches gears and might feel as if it’s more of a dramatic or abrupt shift.
Either way, the forecast still applies to you. Just use your own mind, body, and spirit to make the most out of the information.
For those of you who follow the Grand-Dog Update, I have emotional news.  Oliver passed over to the Dog Star ✨ on March 14th. He was my daughter Miranda’s “Ride-or-Die,” as she says. She adopted him in 2011 from the Humane Society, where he had reportedly been found abandoned in a dumpster in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  I’ll share her written “Obituary” for him:
I knew this day would come, and I still wasn’t ready. ❤️💔 Yesterday, we said goodbye to the sweetest, derpiest, most vocal, expressive, opinionated, and beautiful soul. Oliver was my ride-or-die for over 13 years, my best boy through every chapter, and he lived a full life of so many adventures and so much love. I will miss you more than I can ever say, my little Ollie-boy, Sweet Potato, Ollie Biyali, Mr. Peebody, Oliver Rowdy. Life will not be the same without you. 🥺❤️💔❤️‍🩹
I just wanted to let all of you know that the update will include Rio and Oscar — yet we’ll always think about Oliver as well!  I know he’s up there with our other beloved family dogs.  So Oliver sends all of us love and a reminder to relish all the minutes and enjoy all the snacks.
