2 Personal Year | December is a 5 Personal Month

End-of-Year Reflection 🎁

This is an adventurous way to finish out your year! December’s guided by the freedom-seeking 5. This is a month where you deliberate about what freedom feels and looks like for you as you continue to build on what you set in motion during these past twelve months.

The 5 energy of your Personal Month is like that wild friend you have who’s always pushing the envelope.

Why is it that every time you get together with that wild friend that you end up having a story to tell afterward? Like the time you were going to a concert together in another city and during the road trip, all kinds of shenanigans took place. Or like the time you said you’d go out for only one drink and woke up in the backseat of someone’s car in Las Vegas. You know.  That friend.

On the other hand, the energy of the month can pull you into facing a deep seated fear or it can also draw you into focusing on why you feel so trapped, stagnant, or stuck in your life.

Overall, though, take time to acknowledge how everything you’ve experienced in your 2 or 11/2 Personal Year has created more intimacy and emotional connection (and resilience!) in your life.

What’s been your primary personal take-away from your year?

Have you felt a dramatic internal—if not also an external—shift in the past several weeks or so? It’s been a somewhat arduous, emotional, and patience-building year.

There’s a different direction that has your name on it because December is your breakout month, baby! You get a free pass to tap into some lighter energy that will hopefully serve as a foundation for your upcoming year.

The holidays are a perfect excuse to socialize and enjoy all the season has to offer. Bubbly and mistletoe, anyone? Yet it’s not all about the party—it’s about checking in with yourself and appreciating all that you’ve been processing this year.

Understand that you can bring in some of that patience you’ve developed and make it work in your best interest now and beyond.

It’s time to get out there and network. It’s not about what you know, it’s about who you know. Use the holidays to enjoy yourself and also use it as a networking opportunity. Not in a sleezy sort of way — in an authentic way. You’ve been choosing your tribe all year long. Now’s the time to relax into your revised social circle.

Has love been on the horizon for you?

The 2 Personal Year is set up as a relationship centered time. If you’ve been open to a new intimate partnership and yet perhaps you’ve been shy about indicating to that special someone that your interest in them is more than the friend zone, then this is the month to step into the fire and speak your mind and heart.

It’s a great time to travel and just live a little. This month has the potential to usher in a substantial change in your life—and more than likely the change will be involved with something you’ve been diligently working on for several months, if not the entire year.

As you leave your 2 or 11/2 Personal Year and enter into your 3 Personal Year, take some time to consider what went exactly through a quiet course of development for you this year.

What did you focus on? What were your over-arching intentions?

Did you renew your intimate relationship or find one that holds promise for the future? Did you help others out and extend yourself to understand people on a deeper level?

Perhaps you got some therapy, joined a book club, or joined the hiking group.

Maybe you’re working on a real overhaul in how you engage with other people in the love department. Perhaps you carried a few things over from your 1 Personal Year that kept you more focused on work and career.

Many numerologists will say that the 2 Personal Year is all about “quiet waiting.”  Does that sound about right? Part of the energy and lesson of the number 2—and your 2 Personal Year—is about learning how not to be a doormat for others in whatever way that might show up for you.

Understand that not everyone operates with “doormat status,” yet most of us have some level of “doormatability” that we’re working on, whether it’s an overall way we engage with the world or whether it’s more subtle.

Yet, you can also take the flipside of the energy of the 2 and if so, then this year has been a time to soften and become more diplomatic and loving in your engagement with others and your overall engagement with life.

The 2 is always asking us to soften, seek out other points of view, and encourages us to listen more than charge ahead with our own agenda.

You’re also entering a year where you’ll bring in the emotions-based development you’ve done this year and take it up a notch.

The energy of the 3 Personal Year offers opportunities to gain some knowledge—if not mastery—of your emotional self-expression and sometimes that feels great and sometimes it can challenge us across the board in how we express ourselves, how we relate to our emotional life, and how we choose to find our joy.

I’ll also mention that the similarity between the energy of the numbers 2 and 3 has to do with emotional sensitivity and coming to terms with expressing your wants and needs in a direct yet non-combative manner.

This upcoming year can be a lighter time for you and will test you in clarifying all the ways you communicate—or don’t communicate!

As the year comes to a close, with any grace you feel that certain aspects of life have had the time to settle in and to develop in a slow and rich way.

December can bring the perfect jolt of energy to bridge you into your year of self-improvement and unbridled creativity in 2025! Your 5 Personal Month offers you every opportunity to face your fears and also to be open to a few plots twists and changes in direction.

I’m dropping some vital astrological information into this forecast. Although I’m not an astrologer (I leave that to my astrology experts, primarily among them Tali & Ophira Edut “The AstroTwins”), as a numerologist, I find that the information both numerology and astrology offer is always intimately connected.

Astrologically, we’re making a massive shift.

As of November 19, 2024, the planet Pluto moved from Capricorn (where it declared residency for the past 16 years — since 2008) and into the sign of Aquarius.  The AstroTwins offer this outline:

Pluto’s upcoming journey through Aquarius, a sign of revolution, innovation, and the collective. From November 19 to Jan. 19, 2044, Pluto will ignite a new era of transformation, one that could radically redefine power structures and usher in a future where equality and freedom take center stage.

Pluto’s return to Aquarius could usher in another wave of societal transformation, and astrologers already feel it brewing.

While that might seem like a far-off ideal, Pluto has been known to deliver extreme shifts when it enters a new sign. While Capricorn clings to tradition, Aquarius is all about breaking free from convention and embracing the future.

The last time Pluto moved through Aquarius was from 1778 to 1798, and the world went through seismic shifts, from the American Revolution to the French Revolution. This era also dovetailed with the early days of the Industrial Revolution, which completely changed how societies functioned as we replaced farmed and handcrafted goods with machine-made and processed ones.

Pluto’s return to Aquarius could usher in another wave of societal transformation, and astrologers already feel it brewing. There could be a push toward systems that are more egalitarian, tech-driven, and inclusive as we move away from top-down structures to a more collective, grassroots energy.

With that said, this coincides with a powerful and transitional 9 Universal Year. If you’d like to know more about the 9 Universal Year and how to maximize its potential, see my 2025 Numerology Guide.

Those of you who’ve followed me for a while know that I’m someone who offers different schools of thought as they show up in numerology—pointing out different modes of calculating the numbers and disparate ways different numerologist’s do things.

I have always pointed out that there are two schools of thought about the Personal Year. I’m hesitant to do constant reminders about it because, let’s be honest, it can be confusing! And let’s be honest again: Many people just want the 25-second byte of info without thinking much about it.

Be that as it may, I am going to remind you that there are two schools of thought about the Personal Year. Most numerologist’s use the January 1 – December 31st mode of thinking. Others proffer that the Personal Year is more like a solar return (for those of you who’re astrology-minded), instead running from birthday-to-birthday.

If you’re born at the first of the year, this doesn’t effect you as much. Yet once you hit mid-year and beyond, this can really make a difference. And how do you know what’s right and what’s not right?  BY HOW YOU FEEL! It’s up to each of us to feel it out and see what feels right to us individually.

**The key to avoid as much confusion if you want to explore the birthday-to-birthday scenario:  You would calculate your Personal Year based on the year of YOUR LAST BIRTHDAY. So if you’re reading this right now and your birthday is November 11, you would calculate your Personal Year by adding the Month + Day + LAST YEAR (2023).

In this example, it is 11 + 11 + 7 (2 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 7) = 29; and 2+9 = 11.  Up until 11/11, you’re in an 11/2 Personal Year and then you CHANGE INTO THE 3 PERSONAL YEAR on your birthday. Then you begin to read the forecast for the 3 Personal Year. Make Sense?  I don’t want to rock your numerology world, yet it’s only fair to consider both options and see what works for you.
