8 PERSONAL YEAR
7 Personal Month
You might want to consider tapping the breaks. Slow down. Really. Your 8 Personal Year has you on overdrive and August is set up as your “burn-out deflector.” You need to back off just a bit or the chance of spinning out of control is likely. Well, virtually guaranteed. It’s the month to stop pushing outward and use your time to reflect inward. Knowledge is power and August holds out opportunities for you to gather and digest information for an important project. You’ll want to get to know how every aspect of whatever you’re involved with actually works. What’s really involved? How do you map it out in a step-by-step manner? While your year continues to focus on concerted effort and outward action, this is a time where you get a hall pass to suspend all that action and take a well-deserved rest. The trick is that you must take it!

I know you’re feeling the power this year. Or if not, you’re feeling depleted and defeated. Just a refresher. This is the beginning of a three-year push for you that’s all about cultivating your power, defining your desires and goals, and doing what it takes to move into the next phase of your life. You’ve got to be “in it to win it” right now, so chances are you’re feeling beleaguered and pushed to the max. August offers you a rare respite from the go, go, go you’ve been working with all year, so relinquish to it.
Even though much of the focus of an 8 Personal Year is more about business, it can also be all about the business of love and your sense of power and empowerment in your love relationships.
You’ll derive a good deal of power from a spiritual or intuitive insight that starts to gel for you this month. That special insight—and its practical application—will help bring one of your ventures to new heights on or about August 10th. So pay attention to your heart as well as your head right now. This is always a good idea—and yet imperative for August. Aside from dealing with your normal workload, you’ll be called to spend time by yourself throughout the month. A brief trip between August 12th and 18th may pop up and it would be great to jump on it, as it’ll afford you some much needed rest and relaxation. You also may need some solitude in order to meditate on your future plans and goals. Time by yourself is necessary to make or revise your business plans, particularly pertaining to the last part of the year. This is the time to tap into your emotions—even though your 8 Year has been much more reliant on your business-minded approach to getting things accomplished.

Around August 27th, contemplate some new or different kinds of projects or goals for the future. No matter how much you feel compelled to continue operating on high-speed, know that outer action isn’t required in August, nor is it to your benefit to blaze forward. It’s time to reflect for a moment. The combination of the energies of your Personal Year with your Monthly Cycle (the 8 and the 7) offers a convergence of both the left side (intellect and analysis) and the right side (emotion and intuition) that is ready for you to use—if you’re ready and willing.
In any event, August is set up for germination—nurture yourself and/or you project in preparation for it to be “birthed” into the world next month. Don’t push anything forward prematurely. Your priority is to take what you’re working on and mold it into form—while instilling definition and life in the way that only you can do. Don’t be surprised if you are faced with a “battle of wills” this month. Just remember: You don’t have to show up for every argument you’re invited to. Speak with clarity and dignity. Do what you know you must do. Embrace your power and authority.
