December 15, 2023Your Bosses Leadership Style – 1 Life Path
I received a request from a reader, asking about how to understand the style and traits of bosses by looking at the Life Path number.
(A shout-out to Chantel! Thanks for asking this question!)
Since I’ve not addressed this before, I thought I’d offer my take on it.
Not to complicate matters, yet I would also say, if you can find out the Expression (or Destiny) number of the person in question, that would be an even more complete way to understand leadership style.
(If, for some bizarre reason, you know both the Life Path and the Expression-Destiny number of your boss, read for both numbers to get a more expansive picture of your bosses leadership style).
Why?
Because the Expression-Destiny number indicates how you will go about doing what you do. It’s often a great gauge as to what kind of work or career you would be good at or will gravitate toward.
Knowing this aspect will give you an even clearer idea about leadership style than knowing just the Life Path. Although it’s fair to say that it might be much more challenging to discover the Expression-Destiny number of your boss or potential boss, given that it’s calculated from your full birth certificate name, not from your birth date.
With that said, let’s go!
1 Life Path: The Innovative Leader
The 1 Life Path is a born leader and will have an advantage when it comes to being an entrepreneur. It’s their birthright to bring innovative and creative ideas into reality. The 1 boss can be a one-person show — yet their highest and best use is to lead others with head, heart, and spirit. The 1 Life Path is a pioneer and part of their calling and potential strength is to take calculated risks and lead wisely and well.
Style: The 1 is learning the benefit of truly taking others into consideration. The tendency for the 1 might be to be a bit more “do as I say and don’t ask questions” kind-of boss. The 1 Life Path is learning about independence and individuality – about the self. Yet the power resides in using that to get things done in the larger scheme of things, which means they have to play well with others in the sandbox!
Traits:
- Center of attention
- Quirky individualist
- Can be controlling
- Can be self-centered
- Always coming up with new ideas
What they want and need from YOU (whether they know it or not!):
- They need a cheerleader. Positive reinforcement, positive attention, and admiration are always welcome, if not a requirement!
- They want someone to “read their mind.” They think quickly and have innovative ideas, so much so that often they leave others in the dust and get frustrated when they have to slow it down enough to instruct others as to what they actually want and need.
- They need to be in complete control. The 1 is a leader and they prefer to be in the company of followers. They want you to take instructions and come back with it done to their specifications.
Biggest Nemesis: Lack of self-esteem — although with the 1 Life Path boss, this can be hard to detect because they often appear “large and in charge” by being aggressive, forceful, or just seem to be confident when underneath, they grapple with self-confidence.
Think of 1 Life Path’s Steve Jobs or Gwyneth Paltrow
Ideal: The 1 Life Path boss leads with confidence, creativity, and cares about who’s on board on the team. They’re dynamic and take the time to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of team members and then places people in their position of strength.
