8 PERSONAL YEAR
4 Personal Month
This isn’t the month to mess around. It’s all business for you in May. So get your files organized, your business plan dusted off and gather up immediate and longer term goals. 2017 is the launch of a three-year push where you’ll be challenged to get down to business, complete and let go of the old, and then begin a whole new cycle in your life. Yet this year is devoted to strengthening your sense of personal power and also stepping up your financial abundance.
May is the time to get your files organized, your business plan dusted off and gather up immediate and longer term goals.
The month of May brings with it a sense of seriousness and a demand for hard work. There were lighter activities last month—and there’ll be time for them again next month. Now in May—if you haven’t noticed already—there’s a great deal of work needing to be done to keep your projects moving ahead toward manifesting your goals.
And also understand that numerology offers us a great canvas from which to paint our experience. And you’re the artist—you get to choose not only your canvas, but also you get to choose the type of paint, the colors, and the paint brushes. So while I can observe that last month could have been a grand time for self-improvement and emotional self-expression, you could have also experienced feelings of slight depression or even a certain overwhelming sense of “analysis paralysis.”
Why? Because the energy related to your 8 Personal Year demands that you take yourself seriously on all levels—the year is your ultimate Boot Camp. This is a time to step into your power, strengthen your sense of yourself and grab the resolve to make things happen. So if this is an area of life where you need further development, well then, it can feel like you’re a contestant on the first day of The Biggest Loser season. It’s the feeling of “nowhere to go but up.” Then the energy related to the 3 you just waltzed through in April was all about joyful self-expression and optimism, so you might feel extra buoyant or alternately extra resistant right about now.
Even if you’re doing great with money, no doubt there’s a certain amount of work that needs to take place to keep it that way, or to build upon that financial foundation.
This is the way it works across the board. It’s all dependent on what aspects of the energies we’re cultivating at the moment. I take this opportunity as a reminder so that you can enjoy all of it – both the zingy parts and also perhaps extract some zing out of the hard parts, knowing that you’re being offered experiences that allow you to develop these aspects of your life in more elevated ways than you have experienced in the past. Get ready to tackle many details that will crop up from May 9th to the end of the month. It’s also prime time to clarify your financial picture, particularly around May 13th.
Understand that this is never easy nor a little frolic. Even if you’re doing great with money, no doubt there’s a certain amount of work that needs to take place to keep it that way, or to build upon that financial foundation. And if you’re struggling financially, this is a stark reality check. It’s like you’re in a police line-up and heading for the interrogation room. Why aren’t you where you want to be financially? What’ll it take to get you there? What’s your plan? Are you clear about what you really want? Know also that you can have a lot of ups and downs this year and this month highlights the very-real practicalities it’ll take to hammer out a plan and have the resolve and guts to follow-through with it.
The energy here isn’t linear—it’s intensely pressurized and highly resilient. Yet you can have a financial windfall one week and a financial disaster the next. It’s all in the cards. The test is in how you handle it. I have a friend who is an 8 Life Path and is in his 4 Personal Year (a slight reflection of what you’re working with this month). This month his divorce was final and he was fired from his job—all on the same day. And yet when I met with him a day later for lunch, I made a comment that it was amazing that he was still standing. He laughed and said that actually it was amazing because it was just all a matter of perspective. He could see how this will propel him forward, yet he’s not sure how at the moment. He extracted the positives about it and focused on those. And not in a “Pollyanna” sort-of way—in a real way. He said that he knows after dealing with all of this, he can basically do anything. Touché! That’s the attitude we need to adapt to thrive.
May is the time to get your organization and management skills down to a fine art. And you’ll know what I mean when there’s a break down in organization this month that requires that you work extra hours to reorganize so that things can run smoothly and effectively. Between May 15th and 27th, it’s time to firm up the foundations in several places so further building of your projects can continue with success. You’ll be required to take care of the ongoing work—yet keep a clear picture of the benefits that will accrue so that you don’t get discouraged.
May is the time to get your organization and management skills down to a fine art.
Even worse, you’ll start feeling that “woe is me” feeling of martyrdom if you’re not careful, so step back and use your “big picture” binoculars. (remember my 8 Life Path friend!) If the amount of work makes you feel restricted, know that it’s a temporary but necessary step along the road you’re traveling. This is push-time. The more clarity you have around your ultimate game plan for the year, the better off you’ll be. Just know that May will feel rather relentless. Even so, it’s also up to you to manage stress along the way. Keep your “feelers” out for any health concerns and make the time—even though it’ll feel almost impossible to make room in your calendar—to care for yourself. This can mean a doctor’s visit, dental check, time at the gym, a massage, or an evening out with a nice meal and dancing.
